What Is a Smog Check?
California requires emissions testing for vehicle registration
A smog check is a California-mandated emissions test that measures your vehicle's exhaust output to ensure it meets state air quality standards. Most vehicles need a smog check every two years for DMV registration renewal, and when transferring ownership.
As a STAR Certified station, Super Station Concord is authorized by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to perform all types of smog inspections — including tests for vehicles directed to a STAR station by the DMV.
